To meet growing demand and new developments, we will expand our existing company building to provide almost a third more floorspace. This will give us the necessary freedom to expand capacities.
Even after the expansion, Gerteis will still comply with the strict Swiss “Minergie” Standards. A huge photovoltaic system with the power-to-gas system will take the company a major step toward its goal of producing zero carbon power with greater energy security in the future.
The expansion will increase parts management storage capacity by 300% to guarantee secure supplies for our customers. The accompanying laboratory expansion will increase Gerteis capacity to handle a greater number of more complex research and development projects simultaneously. This will allow the company to become more responsive to urgent project inquiries.
Gerteis employees are the foundation on which the company's success is based. That is why the office space is being greatly expanded and further modernised.
Workforce expansion
Physical space and facility enlargement is only one dimension of the overall expansion plan. Growing sustainably as a company also demands a strong team that can meet the ever-increasing and ever-more complex demands.
This is why Gerteis is also significantly increasing its number of employees. Effective from September 1, it has also welcomed a number of new hires specialist staff, especially in the technical departments.
Construction site noise is still disturbing our everyday work, but we can hardly wait to see the extended part of our company building in reality.
