HiArc hasannounced the launch of its first commercial product, HiArc Ctrl, designed to accelerate the development of medical devices, from initial concept through commercialisation.
The product is a ready-to-use system and is comprised of LaunchBase Origin, HiArc's novel Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and LaunchCode, HiArc’s proprietary Software Development Kit (SDK).
HiArc Ctrl allows users to interface with sensors and actuators in real time, significantly shortening the time and resources typically required for prototyping.
It integrates seamlessly into engineering labs or manufacturing environments to provide version-controlled, documented workflows suitable for regulated products.
The system is suitable for a wide range of application areas, including Life Sciences, IVD, Robotics and Diagnostics.
LaunchBase Origin has been refined through decades of medical instrumentation innovation.
It is a scalable, off-the-shelf embedded hardware controller with nearly limitless possibilities as it incorporates circuits for both common functionality as well as options for specialised functions.
LaunchCode is purpose-built software ideal for instrument technology development, designed to deliver precision, accuracy and control in regulated industries.
The software framework is comprised of a collection of applications, tools and libraries. It enables ease of use through out-of-the-box, prebuilt components, or the option to generate custom-coded components.
LaunchCode is built with pre-compliance in mind, architected to support traceability, documentation and validation.
Nate Doemling, HiArc President, commented: “We’re excited to be bringing our first commercial product offering to market and we are confident it is worth the wait."
"Based on our 45-year history of developing MedTech systems, we have channelled our expertise, engineering and learning into this adaptable, maintainable and easy-to-use system that has been designed with the future in mind."
"This technology has powered some of the leading Life Science diagnostic instrumentation platforms, while maintaining ISO 13485 regulation standards and performing under tight cost and timeline requirements."
"We’re thrilled to be offering it together with LaunchCode as HiArc Ctrl to our clients, so they too can benefit from the ultimate flexibility they need when designing and developing tomorrow’s medical devices."
HiArc (previously KMC Systems, founded in 1980) rebranded in July 2025 to better reflect the company’s unique position in the industry as a bespoke, high-performance solution architect, engineered around its clients.
