One answer to the drug discovery industry's need for faster sample processing and better sample containment is Chromacol's range of WebSeal products. The WebSeal silicone/PTFE sealing mat can seal 96 or 384 wells in less than five seconds using the standard 96 and 384 microtitre plate footprint adopted by many autosampler manufacturers. The silicone/PTFE material reseals when the sample probe or needle has been withdrawn. DMSO-resistant versions of these mats are also available.

Where a completely inert sample chamber is required, Chromacol has a number of glass inserts to fit the wells of the titre plate; in combination with the inert PTFE-coated silicone, these generate a chamber that is inert to most samples and solvents.
