On 3 October Dr Vincent Jannin, Head of Applications Lab. (R&D) at Lonza Capsugel, is set to provide insights on challenges around enteric delivery, latest news around Capsugel Enprotect (trademarked) hard empty capsules and how they can greatly support your next development project, both from efficacy and efficiency point of views. 

Dr Jannin joined Lonza as Manager Oral Drug Delivery Innovation in January 2019. Previously, he held diverse positions up to Research Director - Pharmaceuticals at Gattefossé (1998-2018). He was also lecturer at Lyon University (CPE Lyon) from 2003 to 2019 where he taught formulation sciences for topical and transdermal dosage forms.

Vincent earned his Pharm.D. (1999) and Ph.D. (2004) from the University of Bourgogne (France). His doctoral work focused on pharmaceutical technologies such as tableting and hot-melt coating with lipid-based excipients. He received his HDR (Habilitation to Supervise Research, 2010) from the University of Lyon for his work centering on the characterization of physical-chemical properties of lipid-based systems and their behavior in gastro-intestinal fluids. Habilitation is the highest academic achievement possible in France - earned for superior independent scholarly accomplishments qualifying the holder to supervise doctoral candidates.

Vincent has published 64 publications in peer-reviewed journals (GS h-index=32), 5 patent families, 3 book chapters, 74 meeting abstracts, and given 62 lectures as invited speaker on Lipid-based Systems.
