Jenton International has extended its distributor agreement for high-performance Emplex bag & pouch sealing equipment. The deal with Canada-based flexible packaging specialist PlexPack has expanded from its current scope in the UK to include Benelux, with immediate effect.
UK-based Jenton offers a wide range of Emplex equipment for the food, pharmaceutical, chemical and medical markets, including standard and custom-designed continuous bag sealers, hot air sealers, automated bagging, integrated systems and add-ons. PlexPack will now make some of these available on their platform to the Benelux region.
Emplex continuous band sealers have sealing and pressure components designed for the medical industry and produce precise, consistent and strong seals whether the product is hand-fed or conveyorised.
Richard Little, Managing Director at Jenton International, said: “With packaging weight needing to be reduced whilst shelf life and performance is still required, we see great potential for the future and look forward to exploring new opportunities within key target markets across the Benelux region.”
What is coming to Benelux
The Emplex models being offered by Jenton include the MPS 7103 & 7503 heavy-duty, high-speed vacuum band sealers equipped with vacuum and or nitrogen gas flush system. Both machines create high quality, moisture proof, oxygen-free packages and are ideal for customers who require more than five bags a minute.
Another model included in the deal is The Emplex MPS 6100 series is a basic band sealer with a range of standard features and capabilities whilst the MPS 6500 is the conveyor version used for bags over 2Ib or for particular product orientation. The Emplex MPS 7000 is a heavy-duty band sealer engineered for demanding environments.
Lastly, the MPS 8100 hot air rotary sealer is designed to create strong seals on pillow style bags without the use of bands. The concentrated stream of hot air blows soot, dust, flakes or other materials clean out of the way. Applications may include packaging of sands, salts, gravels, soils, bark, powders, chemicals and food products.
Paul Irvine, CEO of PlexPack, said: “We have had a very positive partnership with Jenton in the UK for many years where we have seen real synergies between the two businesses.”
At its Whitchurch-based facility, Jenton Group offers a full workshop for equipment repair and maintains an extensive stock of spares in addition to having service engineers available for on-site repairs and maintenance.
