The new headquarters of Applikon Biotechnology in Delft, The Netherlands will be opened by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands on 4 December.
The new production facility for the Dutch manufacturer of bioreactor systems for research and production has been operational for several months and the festivities will officially mark this further step in the development and growth of the company.
The 3,700m2 facility on the Technopolis high-tech science park in Delft includes offices, R&D laboratories, a workshop and state-of-the-art warehouse. Approximately 100 people are based on the site.
Construction began about 12 months ago.
Applikon Biotechnology is now able to provide a complete range of bioreactor systems ranging from microlitre research volumes up to 15,000 litre production systems for pharmaceutical and biotechnological applications.
The firm has subsidiaries in the US, UK and China.
