A range of microwave moisture and density measuring systems suited to the analysis of ingredients for pharmaceutical production made a debut at L.A.B.

The German Tews Elektronik MW1150, distributed in the UK by Isatec, covers a wide range of applications from pharmaceuticals to food products, and is contained in a compact housing with an LCD user interface and integrated sensor. This feature makes it suited for use in the laboratory or as an at-line installation.

Different sized cylindrical cavity sensors are available depending on the relevant moisture levels and sample size making preparation of samples, such as pulverisation unnecessary.

The MW1150 has a measuring range of 0.0% to 70.0% dependant on material and can store 20 different product calibrations.
