Martyn Bell has become production manager at Newman Labelling Systems, a UK-based supplier of specialist pharmaceutical labelling systems.
Bell joined Newman Labelling Systems in 1984, working his way up from a machine fitter through to supervisor and now production manager.
John Clayton, managing director, said: ‘With Martyn’s length of service at Newman he clearly has extensive experience of our machinery and the demanding environment in which we work. We have consistently received positive feedback from customers on his service; he has a superb understanding of their requirements and how to meet them.’
In addition to his existing remit of overseeing Newman’s machine production and testing, Bell will now take responsibility for the planning of component parts and machine assembly, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality is controlled.
Bell said: ‘I like the variety of working at Newman. Although we have set machine models, each one comes with numerous options and is adapted to meet a customer’s exact requirements. It’s both interesting and a challenge.’
