AMRI expands quality control leadership

Appoints director of quality for aseptic services and senior director of operations at Burlington

AMRI has announced that Tom McGrath has joined the company as director of quality for aseptic services at the its Burlington, MA site in the US.

McGrath has more than 15 years of quality systems and quality control experience in the pharmaceutical industry, which will strengthen AMRI’s capabilities in this technically complex area.

Most recently he was quality control director at AMAG Pharmaceuticals. His strong technical background and quality management experience will strengthen AMRI’s capabilities in the aseptic arena.

AMRI’s Burlington facility offers clients innovative aseptic formulation and filling services for pre-clinical through to small-volume, commercial-scale production of liquid-filled parenterals, biologics and medical devices in vials, syringes and other custom containers.

AMRI has also appointed Chris Phillips as senior director of operations at the Burlington site. Working with McGrath, he will continue to focus on ensuring that customer projects at AMRI Burlington are managed to completion in accordance with the standards set by the FDA for the aseptic fill and finish industry.
