Almac increases commercial sacheting capacity

Completes client sponsored investment of £2m at its hq in Northern Ireland

Almac Pharma Services has installed dispensing and blending suites, a sachet filling and packaging line and supporting storage and wash areas in a client sponsored capital investment of £2m at its headquarters in Craigavon, Northern Ireland.

The new 5,500ft2 facility accommodates 2.5 tonne batches and annualised output will be in excess of 120 million sachets, split across various packed formats.


Geoff Sloan, vice president of manufacturing operations at Almac Pharma Services, said: ‘This investment has allowed our client to meet growing demand for one of its key future products.’

Graeme McBurney, president and managing director of Almac Pharma Services, added: ‘This level of investment demonstrates our commitment to building long term, strategic relationships with our client partners.’
