Contract research organisation Aptuit has appointed Manuela Leone as Executive Vice President, Operations and General Manager of the Aptuit Centre for Drug Discovery & Development in Verona, Italy. In this role, Leone will oversee Aptuit’s drug discovery and development operations.
Leone has been in global R&D executive management, general management and presidential roles for the past 20 years. Most recently, she was President of Contract Research Services at Harlan Laboratories.
Prior to this, she was with ICON Clinical Research as Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations and Strategic Alliances.
Before joining ICON, Leone was a Global Head of Clinical Development and Development Operations with Galderma Pharmaceuticals following leadership positions at Fidia and Pharmacia, Upjohn in Milan.
