Michel Vandermeiren has joined the firm from Univar as regional managing director for Benelux and France. His responsibilities will include driving the group strategy throughout the Benelux region.
Vandermeiren succeeds Rémi Magniere who has been managing director since 2003 and played a significant role in the structural modernisation of the company. Azelis will continue to rely upon his further support on specific projects until his retirement at the end of 2011.
Azelis has also hired Adrian Jesinghaus as chief information officer. He will be based in the firm’s corporate service centre in Antwerp and will lead the group’s IT community.
