Improved sample safety, reliability and loss-free storage are just some of the factors behind the development of Eppendorf 's deepwell plates.
These 96 and 384 range are manufactured using polypropylene and are de-signed to be rugged when used for mix-ing and centrifuging samples.
They feature an error-safe labelling system and g-safe stability of up to 6,000xg. The plates incorporate the new Re-coverMax design with conical well bot-toms and smooth, rounded corners and transitions for square well plates.
These features are designed to provide faster pipetting, resuspension and mix-ing because the liquid collects in the centre of the well bottom, while "wicking" in well corners is prevented to eliminate cross-contamination between wells.
Another major innovation introduced in these plates is the OptiTrack matrix combining a choice of five border colours and a high-contrast, UV and chemical-resistant alphanumeric labelling system. This ensures simple plate orientation, even in stacks, and quick, error-safe identification of plates and wells.
The plates are designed to be compatible with all standard pipetting robots and automated and high-throughput sample processing.
