Oldham-based Vindon Scientific has been celebrating its flotation on the Alternative Investment Market, a move that heralds a major expansion programme for the company.
Vindon's portfolio of environmental control products includes storage rooms, blood banks, refrigerators and ovens, as well as plant growth chambers for controlling temperature, light and humidity.
Liam Ferguson, chairman of Vindon Healthcare, the new holding company, commented: 'Vindon has built up an enviable portfolio of blue-chip clients, including Glaxo SmithKline, AstraZeneca and Pfizer.
'The structure provides a firm base for future expansion, which will include strengthening our maintenance contracts service and increasing the scope of our off-site storage facilities.'
Vindon will also improve its services for the pharmaceutical, life sciences and food sectors through placing initiating a significant input its r&d programmes.
