International Laboratory Services (ILS) has won an Outstanding Achievement award at the Medilink East Midlands Business Awards.
After being shortlisted earlier in the year, ILS accepted the award at a ceremony that took place in Leicester on 11 June.
ILS, a market leader in the provision of contract laboratory food and pharmaceutical testing services in the UK, has been recognised for an outstanding achievement due to the major recovery process involved to rebuild its facilities after the devastating fire that took place at one of its laboratories in Shardlow, Derbyshire in February 2013. The damage was extensive resulting in three-quarters of the laboratory space being unusable.
The company says the successful recovery process has been exhausting, but its new state-of-the-art laboratory is scheduled to be completed very soon.
ILS was nominated for the Outstanding Achievement Award alongside Maetrics, a global consulting firm, and Spirit Healthcare, one of the fastest-growing UK healthcare businesses with expertise in supporting long-term conditions.

The Medilink East Midlands Business Awards is an annual celebration of the finest organisations in UK healthcare, recognising the innovative work that UK businesses do at home and abroad.
