INC Research to build partnerships in Europe

Appoints Manfred Weiler to lead effort

INC Research, a US-based contract research organisation (CRO) said Manfred Weiler has joined the firm as vp of alliance development based in Geneva, Switzerland.

Weiler will lead INC Research's European effort to develop new clinical delivery alliances to improve outsourced drug development.

‘We have experienced a very positive response to our alliance partnership programme from sponsors of every type and size because of the economic advantages and focus on mutual goals and alignment,’ said Alistair Macdonald, executive vice president, strategic development at INC Research. ‘We believe clinical delivery alliances are the natural evolution in our industry and we are dedicated to being drivers of that innovation.’

Prior to joining INC Research, Weiler held management positions with SGS Group Management, Qiagen and Becton Dickinson. Weiler has a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Bonn.
