Blisters that "pass" the test can be reintroduced to the blister packing line, saving product and reducing unnecessary waste costs. Product from failed blisters can be deblistered intact and immediately repackaged. After the "blue dye" test, packs and their contents cannot be re-used whether they pass or not.

BlisterScan's test cycle is only two minutes and detects leaks and weak seals as small as 5µm across a full cross-section of the entire blister web. It identifies the precise pocket that leaks - ideal for testing alongside blister lines to speed up diagnosis of any problems and preventing the production of excess rejects as soon as possible.

Operators have no influence over the results of BlisterScan as the pass or fail status of each pocket is shown on the screen. BlisterScan can be fully validated, unlike the Blue Dye test where operator has to make a subjective decision whether a pack passes or fails.

The BlisterScan is easy to operate. All machine functions are accessed via a touch screen display. Tool-less product changeover takes only 30 seconds. Only two low-cost plates are required for each different blister format.
