Kloeckner Pentaplast produces new medical device and pharmaceutical packaging grades for Asian market

Global leader in providing packaging, printing and specialty solutions, Klöckner Pentaplast, will launch several new medical device and pharmaceutical packaging grades in Thailand.

These are specifically for the Asian market.

In the first quarter of 2017, the company began local manufacturing of:

  • FDA-grade Pentapharm mono PVC
  • Pentapharm alfoil PVdC-coated PVC
  • Pentaform medical thermoforming grade APET and PVC.

This resulted in improved service to kp Thailand’s pharmaceutical and medical device customers.

A new extrusion line was added to the kpT plant in Q4 2016 to support the local manufacture of the Pentamed APET products.

kpT is unique in being able to offer these products from a local manufacturer in a GMP facility that is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certified.

Hans Dieter Laux is Global Director Medical Device Films, Pharmaceutical Packaging. He said:

“Klöckner Pentaplast has extensive global experience in pharmaceutical films and has added this new production line to serve the rising demand for the Asia market.”
