PCI appoints two additions to its commercial packaging sales team

Outsourcing provider PCI Pharma Services announced the appointment of Nigel Hindes and Laurent Rozier as Business Development Managers. They join PCI to support the development of the company’s commercial packaging business across Europe.

Hindes and Rozier will support a number of key accounts and help drive the continued growth of PCI’s business in Europe. Their main focus will be the growth of PCI’s commercial packaging business, primarily from the Hay-on-Wye facility in the UK.

With significant investment in serialisation capabilities, their appointments have come at a critical time as PCI furthers its work with clients on strategies to address the European Falsified Medicines Directive (EU FMD).

Hindes will have responsibility for the UK and Ireland, and has previously worked with other leading contract manufacturing organisations (CMO) providing pharmaceutical manufacturing and packaging services.

Robbie Stewart, Business Development Director at PCI, said: We are delighted to welcome Nigel and Laurent to the commercial packaging team. They both bring a great deal of experience and a proven track record in business development across the pharma sector. The commercial packaging business in Europe has seen robust growth in the last few years as we continue to deliver outstanding service to our clients. I am sure that both will be successful in their roles and their knowledge will be invaluable in supporting customers as they look for innovative thinking in bringing new medicines products to market.

Hindes said: “I am very excited to join PCI at a time when we are seeing such interest in our commercial packaging business, from serialisation services to the growth of biological medicines that we support from our Hay-on-Wye site. I look forward to leveraging my experience and the considerable expertise at PCI to deliver clients the industry’s leading experience.”

He also has extensive sales experience within the fast-moving consumer goods industry (FMCG) in Europe and brings substantial knowledge and expertise to PCI’s commercial packaging services. This includes primary and secondary packaging, analytical laboratory services and quality product (QP) services, as well as working with clients to prepare them for the implementation of serialisation.

Rozier, who will be based in France, will be responsible for supporting the growth of PCI’s business in Southern Europe. He brings more than ten years’ experience of working within the pharmaceutical packaging industry, providing companies with innovative solutions designed to enhance product shelf-life and quality.

Rozier added: “I am thrilled to be joining PCI Pharma Services at such an exciting time as the business continues to expand, and I’m particularly excited to be working with companies across Europe to help drive further commercial growth for PCI.”

He has worked with many of the industry’s major pharmaceutical companies and his insights and expertise will continue to enable PCI to provide packaging solutions and technologies that truly differentiate products.
