Peg Bakken named General Manager of PCI Rockford Facilities

Bakken joins the Rockford site having been with the company for over 16 years

Outsourcing services provider, PCI Pharma Services (PCI) has announced that Peg Bakken has been promoted to the role of General Manager for its Rockford, Illinois based facilities, a centre of excellence for commercial packaging.

The Rockford site is comprised of seven facilities that total over 1,000,000 square feet and employ over 1,500 highly trained associates, with services supporting pharmaceutical and biotech packaging, as well as medical device, and consumer healthcare products. PCI operates an extensive global supply network across North America and Europe, supporting medicines destined to over 100 countries worldwide.

Bakken joins the Rockford site having been with the company for over 16 years, most recently as the General Manager for the Woodstock, Illinois facility. In that capacity, Bakken was responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction and overseeing all the operational activities. Prior to her previous role at PCI, Bakken held other leadership roles in similar capacities at Catalent Pharma Solutions, Anderson Packaging, and Warner Lambert. In addition to her extensive industry background, she is experienced in Lean Six Sigma and holds a (CPIM) Certification in Production and Inventory Management.

"We are very excited to have Peg in this role," states Bill Bolding, Chief Operating Officer at PCI. "She brings a wealth of experience and truly understands the needs of our customers. Peg’s leadership style and values support our focus on creating an industry-leading customer experience."

The Rockford site has expanded site capacity recently, adding equipment for three additional bottling lines, increasing site capacity by approximately 75 million additional bottles per year. In addition, the Rockford location expanded its leading pouching capability for powders and oral solids as it experiences notable business growth. The company last week announced a considerable expansion of its Serialisation capacity, effectively tripling the quantity of Serialisation lines across its global supply network, including a sizable investment in the Rockford location.
