Medtech manufacturer Raumedic Inc. has appointed Brian Hutchison as President and CEO. Hutchison takes over from Stefan Seuferling, who will continue in his responsibilities to the company’s global business operations as Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of Raumedic AG.
“We are really happy that we could attract an experienced and successful executive like Brian Hutchison to Raumedic,” Stefan Seuferling said. “The US market is filled with potential for Raumedic. We really believe that we will be able to continue expanding our business activities there now that we have brought Brian Hutchison on board.”
Hutchison is an experienced executive in the international medical technology market. He has more than 30 years of experience in medical devices and biotechnology. He joins the company following a series of high-ranking positions at Stryker Corporation, RTI Surgical and Catalyst OrthoScience.
Hutchison said he would “provide crucial momentum that would produce far-reaching strategies and long-term growth for Raumedic together with our customers, partners and employees.” He reportedly plans to focus on expanding the business units, focusing explicitly on the pharmaceutical market as well as medical technology. “Pharma fluid handling, cell therapy and drug delivery are just three areas where I see tremendous growth potential,” Hutchison said.
