The UK company has manufacturing facilities in both Redditch and Durham for filling sterile liquids and contract packaging of medical devices and components

Redditch Medical, a division of Entaco, has added a dedicated 5L production line, expanding its manufacturing capability and capacity.

The company, which has manufacturing facilities in both Redditch and Durham that cover almost 4,200m2, says this development, combined with the existing production lines, provides increasingly reliable and consistent delivery for customers. It anticipates that the line will be installed and operational by July 2017.

The high-speed line consists of a rapid two-head filling workstation within an ISO 5 cell and bespoke cap tightening facilities. The 5L filler is supported by a dedicated mixing vessel, fill lines and ISO 5 filling area.

This allows all lines to run independently and demonstrates contingency planning to ensure supply is never compromised.

This latest development follows work done in May to increase the footprint of its logistics operations. The new site has provided the opportunity to strengthen operational controls with GMP in mind.
