Victrex team goes the distance for charity

Peak District hike raises funds for The Christie in Manchester

A group of Victrex employees participated in a sponsored 10-mile hike in Derbyshire’s Peak District to raise money for charity. They climbed up to the Kinder Scout plateau and reached Crowden Head, the highest point in the region.

There was such a team spirit that they walked an additional two miles to raise funds for The Christie, a Manchester-based charity that supports those affected by cancer.

Victrex, a manufacturer of high performance polyaryletherketones such as Victrex Peek polymer, Vicote coatings, Aptiv films and Victrex pipes, set a goal to raise £1,500, but the teamwork and camaraderie displayed by the group, the Victrex community, their families, and friends helped shatter that goal and continue on an upward spiral, rising to nearly £3,400 to date.
