Nottingham-based R5 Pharmaceuticals has teamed up with Upperton, a privately-owned supplier of novel particles, to provide a one-stop service for drug delivery solutions.R5 Pharmaceuticals now offers spray-drying research, development, GMP and clinical manufacture under one roof.

The services mean that customers can assess the potential of spray drying for products without the expense of investing in equipment and allows the analysis of poorly soluble compounds and respiratory products.

Upperton ceo Richard Johnson, said: "Our expertise is highly specialised and the fit with R5 Pharmaceuticals was obvious. We are looking forward to working with them, as they advise and implement the development of even the most challenging molecules to meet their clients" needs."
