The inaugural, invitation-only summit will see industry leaders discuss themes such as globalisation, supply chain evolution, regulation and policy, and explore innovative ways to drive the sector forward.
Set against the backdrop of the world's largest pharma trade exhibition, the Leadership Summit enables attendees to connect directly with peers, policymakers and partners shaping the future of the industry.
Confirmed speakers include Marinela Cebic, Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance at Ensera, Christian Seufert, Head of Advanced Synthesis at Lonza Group, Christoph Buerki, Global Head of Procurement and CDMO at Novartis, Greg Behar, CEO of Recipharm, Markus Sieger, CEO of Polpharma Group Holding BV and Ronald T. Piervincenzi, CEO of the US Pharmacopeia.
“This is the first time we’ve hosted a dedicated Leadership Summit at CPHI and the timing couldn’t be more important,” said Tara Dougal, Event Director of CPHI at Informa Markets.
“The industry is facing complex global challenges, from accelerated innovation and evolving regulations to supply chain fragility and increasing pressure around access and sustainability."
"This summit is designed to give senior leaders a platform to step back, share insights, and engage in the kind of strategic dialogue that will shape the future of pharma.”
Opening the Leadership Summit, Dr Patrick Dixon will host the keynote session — “Major Issues Impacting the Future of Pharma” — and will explore the converging forces transforming the industry from AI-driven innovation and regulatory harmonisation to unstable tariff regimes, drug pricing negotiations and regional manufacturing risks.
As demand grows for therapies targeting high-impact diseases like obesity, pharmaceutical leaders must confront a complex challenge: how to accelerate development and approval while managing costs, risk, and public perception.
The session will examine how strategic investment, global collaboration and public engagement will be critical to maintaining a vibrant, well-funded pharma industry.
A panel discussion will follow this, “Pharma’s Global Economic Outlook: Balancing Regional Challenges With International Opportunities,” which will provide insights into how organisations can build operational resilience and expand strategically across a fragmented global landscape.
The Leadership Summit is sponsored by Ensera, a global contract design and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) specialising in complex product design, manufacturing and supply chain solutions for pharmaceuticals, drug-device combination products and medical devices.
Marinela Cebic, Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance, Ensera, said: “I'm honoured to join this year’s Leadership Summit panel alongside peers who are driving real change across the life sciences sector.
“Ensera is proud to sponsor this important event because we believe strongly in the power of shared experience."
"When leaders come together to openly discuss regulatory challenges, innovation barriers and strategic breakthroughs, it accelerates progress for the entire industry. "
"These conversations aren’t just insightful, they're necessary as we collectively work to bring therapies to patients faster, without compromising safety or integrity."
