Phastar makes the 2024 Environment 100 list

Published: 16-Aug-2024

The acknowledgement highlights the company's efforts to achieve net-zero, with the company aiming to do this by 2035

Phastar, a global biometric CRO, has been recognised in the 2024 edition of the Environment 100 list.

The initiative celebrates companies that are leading the contract research industry in corporate responsibility — with a general focus on environmental sustainability.

The company's CEO, Graham Clark, was also named in a lost of 'trailblazers' in the sector who are actively pursuing sustainability in their corporate endeavours.

Under Graham's leadership, Phastar's net-zero target was approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2023 — which the company has pledged to meet by 2035.

The Net Zero commitment sits within a wider environment, social, and governance (ESG) programme which allowed Phastar to become a certified B Corporation.

Alongside its environmental commitments, Phastar also runs a pro bono scheme, offering charities free access to its biometrics experts, and a Stats Helpdesk providing biotech companies with free access to its expert team of statisticians.

Phastar's CEO Graham Clark commented: “It is an honor to be recognized alongside leading organizations committed to driving positive change. While my name appears on the 2024 Environment 100 List, this award truly reflects the collective efforts Phastar has made in ESG, reinforcing our commitment to corporate responsibility and sustainable business practices. As a B Corp organisation, we strive to be a force for good, leading the CRO industry in corporate social responsibility. We take pride in our mission to make a meaningful difference in the world and in being a great company to work with and work for.”

The 2024 Environment 100 List awards ceremony will take place on September 11 – the first day of the Environmental Services & Solutions (ESS) Expo at NEC Birmingham.
