Goplasticpallets has supplied a top-tier pharmaceutical provider with plastic Euro pallets on five runners to transport an ingredient used in a COVID-19 vaccine. This is not a standard plastic pallet, the company says, in fact the specification is very rare.
It matched the specifications with its Qpall 1208 HR 5R. Initially 50 units were transported fast-track to Belgium, but enquiries from other suppliers to the vaccine manufacturer followed from the US, Argentina, China and South Korea.
The pallets are being used for the task of transporting one of the ingredients that make up the second COVID-19 vaccine authorised for use in the UK by MHRA in December.
Goplasticpallets, Jim Hardisty said: “It is humbling to be involved in such a significant project. We’ve supported the pharmaceutical industry with a broad range of projects during our 20 years in business, but this is by far one of the most satisfying.
“We pride ourselves on the speed of our deliveries and our ability to find not just the closest fit but an exact match for our customers’ requirements – and this project is a prime example of the quality of our service.”
