Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched POWERx, a line of 16 high-performance x-ray systems.
The POWERx models use high-resolution detectors and sophisticated image analysis software to achieve the highest sensitivity and lowest false reject rates possible, the company says. Virtual Contaminant Testing software is available to simulate various types, sizes and positions of contaminants to determine how to achieve the best performance in each application.
Select models in the new range are compliant with the FDA's Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 21 part 11.
Other features include remote access hardware and software for support and service, an icon-based touchscreen HMI, X-ray based mass measurement software, IP 65 (NEMA 4X) dust and washdown compliance and multilingual software and documentation.
