Programmable shakers offer optimum flexibility

German laboratory equipment company C. Gerhardt, of Bonn, has launched a range of programmable shakers that combine large load capability, reliability and flexibility. New control software enables nine different programs to be selected.

The time can be programmed in seconds, minutes or hours, and the shaking speed can be programmed in one-step increments, from 1 to 200. The shakers can also have the option of a break, which allows users to select a time span within an overall program when the machine stops shaking to allow the liquid to flatten out before shaking resumes.

Furthermore, programs with increasing or decreasing speed, or even a combination, can be selected.
