Genevac, the Ipswich supplier of evaporators, has introduced the Rocket Evaporator for use in chiral separation, which can simultaneously dry or concentrate six 410ml flasks five times faster than conventional rotary evaporators.

Benefiting from a patented low temperature, low-pressure steam heating technology developed by Genevac, the Rocket Evaporator is able to achieve fast evaporation with precise temperature control thereby accelerating the safe production of chiral separation samples, the company said.

A two-stage cold trap built into the product provides high levels of solvent recovery, even with volatile organic solvents, the company added.

The Rocket Evaporator fits neatly onto a laboratory bench or into a fume hood and all key components are user serviceable.
