Sartorius expands the Combics product family

Combics industrial scales from Sartorius have long been known for flexibility and user-friendly operation. A number of options for different needs, such as weighing, counting, checkweighing or customer-specific requirements, can be preconfigured at the factory. This makes it easy to integrate Combics models with full functionality directly into production lines, whether in the food or pharmaceutical industry, or in the chemical, metalworking or electronics industry.

Now the weighing and metrology experts at Sartorius have expanded the Combics family to include the high-resolution CH Series of industrial scales, with weighing capacities from 16 to 300kg. Built with monolithic weigh cells, these new models have weighing platforms that deliver a resolution of up to 340,000 digits. For example, a scale with a capacity of 34kg has a readability of 0.1g.

With short stabilisation times, low sensitivity to vibration and electronically compensated preload without reduction of the weighing capacity, this series guarantees fast weighing results under almost any installation conditions. Moreover, the built-in motorised calibration weight makes the scale ideal for integration in GMP/GLP certified production processes. It provides fast and reliable weight values even under conditions that require dust and water protection up to the levels of IP65 or IP67.

Just like other members of the Combics family, CH components are easy to configure and operate, and come with a variety of data interfaces. The CH models are available with capacities from 16 to 300kg, weighing platform dimensions of 400 x 300, 560 x 450 and 800 x 600mm, and a choice of display and control unit versions with different functionalities - both versions made entirely of stainless steel. All models can optionally be verified at the factory in Accuracy Class K.

Clear layout and easy operation

Like the other Combics models, CH Series scales have high-contrast display units featuring a wide reading angle for excellent readability - which helps prevent operator errors. The keys are large with positive click action for confident operation.

The intuitive operator guidance enables simple operation of the application programs: counting and checkweighing, classification into three or five classes, net-total formulation, neutral measurement, weighing in percent, dynamic weighing and batching. Control LEDs provide for rapid indication of results, and a bar graph assists when adding samples.

Trouble-free connection of a barcode scanner or a remote display as a reference indicator is also ensured. Connecting peripheral devices is no problem thanks to the range of optional data interfaces available, such as Profibus-DP, analogue output port (for a PLC), Ethernet and Bluetooth.

The new high-resolution CH industrial scales line up next to the Combics CW standard industrial scales and Combics CWFS food scales. While the CW industrial scales have weighing capacities from 3kg to 3000kg and have made their mark as rugged all-rounders in many different types of production area, the Combics CWFS food scale covers weighing capacities from 3 to 150kg. The CWFS is specially designed for easy cleaning and disinfecting - ideal for use in the food industry because it meets the criteria outlined by the European Hygienic Equipment Design Group (EHEDG) and HACCP standards.

With this broad range of standard and specialised equipment, Sartorius Combics can provide the right scale for any weighing task.
