Entries are now being accepted for the 2011 IChemE international awards for innovation and excellence, which will be presented at the ICC in Birmingham, UK on 3 November.
The IChemE awards, now in their 18th year, recognise and reward chemical engineering excellence and innovation. They acknowledge both individual and team achievement in 14 categories, with the best overall entry being presented with the outstanding achievement in chemical and process engineering award.
The team categories are:
- Bioprocessing award
- Core chemical engineering award
- Education and training award
- Energy award
- Chemical engineering project of the year award
- Health and safety award
- Innovative product of the year award
- Sustainable technology award
- Water management and supply award
The individual award categories are:
- Innovator of the year
- Young engineer of the year:
There is also a special Dhirubhai Ambani award for outstanding chemical engineering innovation for resource-poor people.
