Simcere Pharmaceutical Group, a Chinese pharmaceutical company specialising in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of branded and proprietary pharmaceuticals in China, has hired Dr Zang Jingwu as Chief Scientific Officer.
Dr Zang was the founding director of the Institute of Health Sciences and Institute Pasteur Shanghai of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. In 2007, he joined GSK as Senior VP and Head of GSK's R&D Centre in China; and in 2012, he was promoted to Global Head of the Neurosciences Therapy Area at GSK.
