Almac Group, a global contract development and manufacturing organisation, has hired two new Vice Presidents at its Craigavon, Northern Ireland and Souderton, PA, US headquarters.
Dr John Robson has become Vice President of Quality Operations at Almac's Sciences business unit in the UK, which offers API and chemical development services for all stages of drug development. He will be responsible for the operation of the analytical services business and overseeing quality across sites in the UK and US. In addition to his direct operational responsibilities, he will be an integral member of the senior leadership team, focusing on strategy development and implementation to expand and grow Almac's global operations.
With more than 20 years of experience in a number of business leadership, quality and analytical roles Robson joins Almac from Lonza Biologics where he was Global Head of Analytical Services. Prior to this, he was Vice President and General Manager, Early Development at Covance, and Global Head of Bioanalytical Services at MDS Pharma Services.
In a second announcement, George Tiger has been appointed Vice President of Global Business Development at Almac’s Clinical Technologies in Souderton and is responsible for commercial operations and business development.
Prior to joining Almac, Tiger was Senior Vice President, Life Sciences Sales for Health Market Science where he was responsible for the sales efforts across the life sciences industry. Prior to this, his experience includes more than 12 years with ERT, a supplier of cardiac safety, respiratory, and eCOA solutions, where he held a series of management positions of increasing responsibility in the US, Europe and globally. With more than 25 years’ experience in the field, he began his career with Abbott Laboratories, Diagnostics Division.
