UCB Pharma has launched Xyzal tablets. Each tablet contains 5mg of the antihistamine levocetirizine dihydrochloride.

Aventis Pasteur MSD has made available ViATIM vaccine, which contains a combination of purified Vi polysacharride typhoid (Typhim Vi) and inactivated hepatitis A (Avaxim) vaccines.

Pharmacia has marketed Detrusitol XL capsules, containing 4mg of the anticholinergic tolterodine, in prolonged release form. The company has also made available Fragmin as a 7500 IU/0.3ml solution for injection, containing the low molecular weight heparin dalteparin sodium.

Merck Sharp & Dohme has introduced VioxxAcute tablets containing 25mg or 50mg of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug rofecoxib.

Solvay Healthcare has introduced 300µg tablets of Physiotens, containing the I1-agonist moxonidine.

CollaGenex International has brought out 20mg tablets of the tetracycline doxycycline under the name of Periostat.

Pinewood Healthcare has introduced 2mg/5ml syrup of Salapin containing the selective ß2-agonist salbutamol sulphate.

NovoNordisk has marketed Insulatard InnoLet 100iu/ml and Mixtard 30 InnoLet 100iu/ml prefilled human insulin syringes.
