The site will increase the company's manufacturing capacity by 150%, while reducing lead times for biopharma purification

Verdot has finalised a transaction to acquire 2.7 acres of land in the Biopole Clermont-Limagne Life Science Technology Park.

In the space, the company plans to build a 45,000 sqft biomanufacturing facility — as well as a HQ — to add to their current manufacturing, R&D and applications capabilities.

Verdot estimates that construction will begin on the site by early 2025.

According to the company, the facility will use the latest technologies suitable for the design, fabrication and assembling of bioprocessing purification solutions, while also enhancing its manufacturing capacity by 150%.

The novel manufacturing facility will also be self-sufficient in terms of electricity generation, with water collection and recycling systems also being incorporated to enhance the site's sustainability credentials.

Charles Ruban, CEO of VERDOT commented, “We are excited to begin construction of our new facility. The new Verdot facility will add significant manufacturing capacity, allowing us to further reduce lead times for tailored and standard purification technologies to meet the growing demand of our biopharmaceutical customers worldwide."

"The consolidation of our existing facilities will create operational and R&D efficiencies that will enhance our engineering capabilities and fuel innovation, while further reducing our carbon footprint.”
