Zinsser Analytic says its LISSY flexible pipetting robot easily manages serial dilutions using WinLISSY operating software.
This software organises the pipetting steps and first decides whether a pre-dilution stage is required. The pipetting list can either be imported from an in-house LIMS system or from an Excel spreadsheet. For each sample processed, the dilution volume and the target positions are recorded in an export file. The same LISSY system can also be used for multiple tasks, such as switching from tubes to plates, simply by altering the layout.
LISSY is available in standard configurations from 90 to 200cm in length and can accommodate various tubes, vials and microtitre plates on its workbench.
The product can be equipped with up to 16 pipetting probes, with or without integrated gripper for moving plates, individual tubes or tools.
LISSY can be further enhanced with additional modules such as sample identification (barcode reading), pH measurement and adjustment, heating and cooling stations, vortexers and stirrers.
