2BScientific expands its life science product supply service to Europe with new German facility

The facility in Munich will serve the European market with life science products, including in vitro diagnostic (IVD) reagents, buffers, biomaterials and antibodies

UK-based life science product distribution company 2BScientific has officially opened its first central European distribution facility in Munich.

The facility will act as a hub for the company's European clients, which include pharmaceutical, biotech and healthcare companies — as well as academia.

Through this expansion, 2BScientific also hopes to initiate new partnerships with suppliers, while broadening the reach of its existing suppliers' products.

Currently 2BScientific serves customers in the UK, Europe and further afield, so having a base in Munich will allow it to better cater to its growing European customer base.

To ensure that things run smoothly at the Munich hub, the company has appointed Ralf Bauerle as CEO; he has significant experience in the life science market, as well as an extensive network within the industry.

Ralf will work with the 2BScientific team to build regional connections and enhance the company's potential for further expansion into the European market.

Chief Commercial Officer of 2BScientific Limited, Richard Atkins, commented: “This is an obvious strategical move into new markets for 2BScientific Limited, offering our excellent levels of customer service, logistics and scientific expertise to new customers. It enables us to extend our product offering through new supplier agreements and give our existing suppliers the opportunity to broaden their reach.

"We're excited to expand our successful UK & ROI operations into the rest of Europe, utilising Ralf's experience and network to provide the same high level of service to a broader audience.”

The company is also ensuring that its activities are as sustainable as possible, with deliveries being transported in biodegradable, recyclable, single use plastic-free packaging.

2BScientific has also been carbon neutral since 2021.
