Buyout firm AAC Capital Partners has taken a majority stake in Envirotainer, a manufacturer of temperature-controlled containers for the pharmaceutical industry, from Industrifonden and private investors. Envirotainer's management team will be investing alongside AAC.
Envirotainer, headquartered in Lagga, Sweden distributes biological pharmaceuticals around the world from service hubs in 26 countries. It has sales of around Euro 31m.
David Holm-Ovren, partner at AAC Capital Partners in the Nordics, said: "Envirotainer has established itself as the clear market leader in a high growth sector. We see significant growth in the biological pharmaceuticals industry and believe that there is a concurrent growing need for temperature-controlled transport going forward."
"With AAC Capital Partners as an owner, the company has the opportunity to continue its development and international expansion," added Anders Eklund, investment director at Industrifonden.
