To encourage student interest in science and to support teaching in primary and secondary schools, the Association of British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) has launched a new science-based website, www.abpischools.org.uk.

It provides essential subject information in support of the National Curriculum and is designed to be used by teachers, students and parents. Its aim is to stimulate subject interest, provide background information for projects, support private study and encourage revision.

'This new website should encourage students and teachers to understand better the connection between science and the pharmaceutical industry,' said Sarah Jones, education executive at the ABPI. 'It will give students a greater feel for how interesting and dynamic science can be.'
