ACTA: fix it or ditch it, says Rapporteur
Agreement criticised for being unclear with regard to definition of commercial scale
The European Parliament should reject the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA) unless it is renegotiated, the MEP co-ordinating the body’s potential ratification of ACTA has said.
British Labour MEP David Martin recommended that the parliament’s international trade committee oppose ACTA for being unclear with regard to how much copying is required to be on a ‘commercial scale’ and hence illegal, among other complaints.
