Adents, a provider of serialisation and track-and-trace software for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries, has appointed James (Jim) Cummings as Vice President, Americas.
A 30-year veteran of B2B systems sales, Cummings will oversee the France-headquartered firm's operations in the region, in addition to his previous responsibilities of setting up and managing a partner network to support the company’s entry into North and South America.
Well known in Europe, Adents recently opened a US office in Princeton, NJ as it continues to make inroads into the North American pharmaceutical sector. Cummings will play a key role in this expansion, by managing sales and identifying, contracting and training new partners.
Cummings has an extensive background in instrumentation, automation and information systems for manufacturing. He was a founder and president of a systems integration company that delivered solutions to several industries, with a focus primarily in the life science industries.
Prior to joining Adents, Cummings worked for Avanceon, where he led a life science industries sector initiative to organise and manage a global network of engineering offices in support of packaging line serialisation.
Adents currently has offices in Paris and Lyon in France, Montreal, Canada and Princeton, NJ, US.
