Surak Perera, newly appointed to the position of applications support specialist at Letchworth-based Adept Scientific in Herts, UK, will use his engineering and applied mathematics expertise to support the promotion of its product range.
The Sri Lankan-born Perera has a MEng in Aerospace at Southampton University. His Masters project was to design and manufacture a thermal mass flowmeter for an experimental rocket engine's fuel intake system.
Working initially on the popular Mathcad software, Surak will be extending his expertise to cover the full range of maths products offered by Adept.
His extensive experience and knowledge of applied mathematics is exactly what we need for this very technical product range," said company managing director Paul Bragg.
