To enhance business development and in vitro biology services

AMRI's separate North American Discovery and Development teams are being combined into one functional sales organisation, under the leadership of Christopher Conway, who has been promoted to vice president, Business Development, North America.

Conway joined AMRI in 2008 as a sales manager on AMRI's US discovery team. He was promoted to senior director of the North America Discovery market in late 2010.

Conway has also held sales and leadership positions of increasing responsibility at Johnson & Johnson.

AMRI has also promoted Louis Garguilo to vice president, Business Development. In addition to his responsibility for AMRI's business development activity in the Japan/Asia Pacific markets, Garguilo has assumed responsibility for AMRI's marketing communications activities. He joined AMRI in 2006.

In a third appointment, Saravanakumar Dhakshinamoorthy has joined AMRI’s Singapore site as director of In Vitro Biology, a newly created position.

Dhakshinamoorthy and his team will be working closely with on-site colleagues to support customer projects as well as in collaboration with AMRI’s US-based biology and DMPK teams.

AMRI’s Singapore Research Center provides a full complement of drug discovery services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.

Dhakshinamoorthy comes to AMRI after seven years with Aurigene, a discovery services company in Bangalore, India. He previously worked in Singapore with the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology. He brings more than 20 years of postgraduate experience in academic and industrial settings to AMRI.

UK-based Notch Communications will be working with AMRI to execute its marketing strategy, which will include a re-branding campaign and enhanced media outreach.
