Androlabs appoints EffRx as Swiss commercial partner for testosterone therapy Testavan

The agreement expands Testavan's European commercial footprint, giving EffRx distribution rights in Switzerland as Androlabs targets an underdiagnosed hypogonadism market affecting an estimated 10-40% of men globally

The men's health firm Androlabs has tapped EffRx Pharmaceuticals to be its commercial partner in Switzerland for Testavan, a testosterone replacement therapy indicated for hypogonadism in adult men.

The therapy is already commercially available in Switzerland. Under the agreement, EffRx will lead the commercialisation and distribution of Testavan in the country.

Low testosterone affects roughly 10-40% of men globally; however, it remains underdiagnosed, with symptoms often attributed to ageing or other health conditions, potentially delaying appropriate medical assessment and treatment.

As Switzerland's population continues to age, the prevalence of age-related health conditions affecting men is expected to increase, reinforcing the importance of timely diagnosis and access to appropriate treatment options.

Nicolas Vennin, co-founder of Androlabs, said: “We look forward to working with EffRx to expand access to Testavan in Switzerland and offer greater choice to patients and healthcare professionals."

This partnership represents an important step forward in our shared commitment to advancing men’s health in the country.

Victor Papavasileiou, EVP Corporate Development at EffRx Pharmaceuticals, added: “We are pleased to partner with Androlabs to commercialise and distribute Testavan in Switzerland."

Testavan is an important addition to our portfolio and this agreement demonstrates our commitment to bringing patient-focused treatments to the Swiss market.

The news comes two weeks after Androlabs announced a similar partnership with Laboratoires Majorelle to market Testavan in France.
