Antares Vision, a provider of serialisation based track and trace solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, has introduced the Antares Vision Quick Compliance Program, drawing upon a large lineup of pre-configured modules to enable serialisation compliance within 10 weeks from the start of the project, stressing availability and speed to market.
Accessibility of infrastructure and speed to deployment is paramount as the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) deadline approaches.
The next milestone for manufacturers to comply with the 2013 Drug Supply Chain Security Act is 27 November 2017. After this date pharmaceutical manufacturers will be required to print a unique product identification code on all Rx units of sale and homogenous cases distributed domestically.
The US regulatory deadline makes the Antares Vision Quick Compliance Programme particularly prescient, as Antares is unique in its ability to guarantee a fully integrated, validated, and complete serialisation program in such a short timeframe.
The program is based on preconfigured modules combined with a standardised package of software, documentation and services, minimising the need for Project Management Office (PMO) efforts and offer post-implementation flexibility and scalability.
Adriano Fusco, Strategy and Development Director for Antares Vision, said: “The Antares Vision Quick Compliance Program can ensure adherence to this quick timeframe thanks to our large inventory of ready to go modules. This is a big differentiator from other claims in the industry relying on third-party serialisation modules, whose availability can delay the implementation schedule.”
The Antares GTS Plant Manager program software generates or imports serialisation numbers and stores all data while interfacing with Level 4 repositories. GTS Plant Manager comes preconfigured and ready to manage line serialisation. As required the scalable software can be expanded to manage additional lines and communication layers.
Andrew Pietrangelo, President Antares Vision North America, said: “As we enter the stretch run toward November’s initial serialisation deadline, pharmaceutical companies, contract manufacturers and contract packagers all know that it’s time to engage a track and trace partner if they haven’t already done so. Antares Vision, as the world leader in serialisation based track and trace solutions, is uniquely prepared to meet regulation compliance deadlines in today’s increasingly tight timeframe.”
