Barentz is in discussions to acquire 100% equity of the pharmaceutical excipient and active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) distributor, the Fengli Group.
The Chinese company sources pharmaceutical excipients and active ingredients from 35 international principles, serving more than 2,000 customers within the pharmaceutical manufacturing and R&D niches.
Fengli Group's facilities include an analytical pharma lab for product formulation and support, as well as excipient research, development and application labs.
This strategic move would gain Barentz access to the lucrative Chinese pharmaceutical market, while establishing a robust sales network centered around excipients and APIs.
The partnership would further enhance the service and commercial capabilities of Barentz in China while enabling Fengli Groupto expand its international presence — driving both company's growth long-term.
