Caidya has announced a strategic combination with Simbec-Orion.
Aimed at closing the gap between early scientific insight and global clinical execution, the two organisations will form a specialty clinical CRO platform that's capable of scaling programmes while maintaining focus, speed and accountability.
The deal unites complementary strengths across Europe, the Americas, APAC and China, giving the combined business a stronger footprint in the regions that matter most to biopharma sponsors.
Simbec-Orion contributes early-phase clinical pharmacology capabilities and deep expertise in complex oncology and rare disease trials, whereas Caidya brings global reach and later-stage execution strength.
Together they offer sponsors a more connected route from first-in-human studies through to registration.
Simbec-Orion, headquartered in the UK, brings nearly five decades of experience and a 48-bed Phase I clinical pharmacology unit, regarded as one of Europe's leading early-phase facilities.

Barbara Lopez Kunz, Chief Executive Officer of Caidya, said the combination creates a more complete development partner for innovators, pairing Simbec-Orion's European presence and early-phase expertise with Caidya's global platform.
Fabrice Chartier, Chief Executive Officer of Simbec-Orion, said the merger brings together two organisations with a shared culture, combining the intimacy of a specialist partner with the scale of a global development organisation.
He noted the deal would give Simbec-Orion greater access to US and Asian markets, and give Caidya a stronger presence in Europe and Phase I pharmacology.
Dr Lingshi Tan, Executive Chair of the Board at Caidya, said the combined expertise positions the group to support the growing trend of cross-border biopharma innovation between the US, Europe and Asia.
Anand Jain, Partner at CBPE and Chair of Simbec-Orion, said the move represents the ideal next chapter for the business, its people and its clients, giving sponsors continuity from first-in-human through to registration.
The combined organisation will be led by Barbara Lopez Kunz as CEO, with Fabrice Chartier continuing to lead Simbec-Orion's operations.
Edgemont acted as exclusive financial adviser to Caidya, with Sidley Austin as legal counsel.
Stifel advised Simbec-Orion and CBPE, with Eversheds Sutherland as legal counsel.
