Diversified technology company 3M is hosting a free webinar on the subject of powered and supplied air (P&SA) respirators as part of its ‘safety spotlight’ series for 2013.
Taking place on Tuesday 23 April at 12.00pm (BST), the webinar will be hosted by Technical Services Engineer Alan McArthur of the 3M Personal Safety Division, who will explain the potential benefits of using P&SA systems and offer guidance on how to choose the most appropriate option.
'Powered and supplied air respirators are often seen as a more complex choice, possibly only appropriate where working conditions are particularly hazardous,' explains McArthur. 'However, this webinar will demonstrate how they can bring benefits across many different industries, from offering enhanced protection to increasing user comfort and compliance.
'Along with covering reasons to choose P&SA systems and the differences between these and disposable and reusable respirators, the webinar will provide hints and tips on solving common workplace problems by selecting P&SA systems and simplifying the selection process. By providing detailed information on the subject, we hope it will encourage health and safety managers to review their approach to Respiratory Protection Equipment (RPE) and consider P&SA systems as a viable option.'
