DNA 11 is one company in New York that uses aspects of our DNA to create artwork. The firm has recently launched GenePak£ - a new service that allows customers to identify specific genetic traits in their custom DNA portraits. The service highlights four areas of human characteristics. Love depicts the NGF2 gene, one of the genes responsible for the nervous feeling associated with of butterflies in the stomach when you meet that special someone; sport, which showcases the ACTN2 gene expressed in all muscle cells. The IGF-2 gene is associated with intelligence and the amelogenin, which is often used to determine gender.

"This new GenePak£ option allows clients to analyse their genes in an interesting way that creates great entertainment value for friends and family," said DNA11 co-founder Nazim Ahmed.

The GenePak£ upgrade option costs $99 and includes a detailed booklet that describes the lab process.
